American University Washington College of Law’s 22nd Summer Law Program in Chile still has a few spots available for law students around the country. The program runs from May 29 to June 26 in Santiago, Chile, with a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In addition to classes on Trade and Investment in Latin America, Human Rights and Comparative Law, the program includes site visits to the Chilean Congress, Constitutional Court, a former clandestine detention center, a prison and criminal courts, among others. Extracurricular activities include a ski trip to the Andes Mountains, and receptions with Chilean attorneys and professors. The program also helps students interested in finding internships in Chile for the reminder of the summer.
